Speaker Invitations
The Organising Committee warmly welcome you to attend the second Herbicide Discovery and Development meeting (HDD2023) to be held in Western Australia. HDD2023 is being organised by Dr Joel Haywood and Professor Josh Mylne from Curtin University's Centre for Crop and Disease Management as well as Associate Professor Keith Stubbs from UWA's School of Molecular Sciences. The meeting will focus on presentations from students and early career researchers, supported by a small number of distinguished international and interstate speakers from academia and industry. The conference will focus on organic chemistry, chemical biology and structural biology approaches directed at the discovery or development of herbicides.
Abstract and Registration
Abstracts (for students and ECRs only) will remain open until 3 January 2023. To submit an abstract use this template and e-mail us your abstract! Our session speakers are locked in. For students and ECRs we will select the most relevant for oral presentations. To register, click this link which takes you to an Eventbrite website. Registration fees are now students: $130 and non-student delegates: $225. If you need a letter of invitation to apply for an Australian visa, request it via email. Registration covers attendance to all lectures, lunches, coffee breaks, drinks, welcome mixer, dinner and the welcome barbeque.
Accommodation
The recommended accommodation for those attending the conference is Nesuto Curtin Perth Hotel, conveniently located on Curtin University's Bentley campus and a 10 minute walk from the conference location. You are also welcome to seek alternative accommodation at hotels in Perth city as buses regularly arrive at Curtin University. Curtin University acknowledges that it is situated on Noongar land, that the Noongar people remain the spiritual and cultural custodians of their land and continue to practise their values, languages, beliefs and knowledge.
